Baptisms at St John's
Baptisms, or christenings as they are often known are carried out in our main 10am Sunday on Sundays except the 4th Sunday of the month. If you have a large number of guests or there is a reason for having a private service later in the day this is also possible and we will invite you to come to church the following service so you can be welcomed into the church community.
Baptism is the first step on an amazing journey with God and the sacrament of initiation into membership of the church. If you are considering this for your baby, child or for yourself please get in touch with Rev Clare Leal, [email protected], 01925 407996 or 07342 840194.
We also offer a service of Thanksgiving for the Gift of a Child which is a service giving thanks to God for the birth or adoption of a child and to pray for family life. If you want to consider this or to talk to Rev Clare about the difference between the two services please get in touch, Rev Clare Leal, [email protected], 01925 407996 or 07342 840194.

Funerals at St John's, at the Crematorium or a natural burial ground
Funerals can be taken by Rev Clare or Rev Trish in church, at a crematorium or at a natural burial ground which allows Christian services. Please ask your funeral director to contact us or contact us directly before you have agreed a date. Taking the funeral includes meeting with you to plan the service, and we, or members of our pastoral team, are also available to support you and/or pray with you in the weeks before the service and for as long after as is helpful.
